Medica is a Sri Lankan-developed digital healthcare ecosystem dedicated to transforming how hospitals, doctors, and patients connect and care.
We've built a comprehensive Hospital Information System (HIS), combined with a Personal Health Record (PHR) platform for patients, advanced AI tools for clinical workflows, and mobile access for all stakeholders.

To make healthcare more efficient, transparent, and patient-centred. We believe every hospital should have smart tools to deliver care more effectively, every doctor should be able to focus on patients rather than paperwork, and every patient should have secure access to their own health data — anytime, anywhere.
A future where healthcare is seamless: hospital operations run smoothly, clinical decisions are supported by intelligent systems, and patients fully participate in their own health journey.
We continuously improve our technology — AI-assisted clinical data entry, mobile app usability, reporting dashboards — to make care better.
Patient data is sacred. We use best-in-class security, encryption, and compliance practices to protect personal health information.
Doctors, hospitals, and patients are partners. Our platform enables seamless information sharing, communication, and coordination.
Built in Sri Lanka, mindful of local workflows, regulations, and culture — yet meeting international best practices.
Healthcare is for everyone. Our interfaces are designed to be user-friendly; our apps to be inclusive; our tools to reduce barriers.
Medica began with a simple but important mission — to solve the problem of illegible prescriptions. Many patients struggled to read doctors' handwriting, leading to errors in medication and reducing the effectiveness of consultations. Our first solution was a prescription printing tool, designed to make doctor visits more productive, accurate, and safe for patients.
